Don't wear Saudi dress in Jordan, citizens told
Saudi authorities warned their citizens in Jordan not to wear their traditional dress while moving in public places, saying this could pose a threat to them.
The warning by the Gulf Kingdom’s embassy followed a spate of abductions and robberies against students and other Saudis in Jordan over the past months.
“Avoid wearing Saudi dress while moving outside and do not go out late night so you will not be victims to those who stalk you,” Saudi ambassador in Amman, Sami Al Saleh, said in a statement carried by ‘Arar’ and other Saudi newspapers.
