Family of 8 on Haj dead in car

Fumes from a car’s faulty air conditioner caused the death of a Yemeni family of eight members in Saudi Arabia, according to a report in the Arabic daily newspaper Emarat Alyoum.

Saudi security authorities have opened an investigation into the incident in Rnyah province.

According to local media, the family was found dead in their vehicle yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

The family was coming from Sharourah province in the far south. They were on their way to perform Haj in Makkah.
