Fight on Kuwait Airlines flight

A Kuwaiti Airlines steward and a passenger are facing charges in the oil-rich Gulf emirate of violating flight safety rules when they scuffled thousands of metres in air.

The steward told police that the Kuwaiti passenger swore at him before jumping out of his seat and hitting him, according to Kuwait’s ‘Sabr’ online newspaper.

But the passenger said he only reacted to the steward’s insults during the flight, the paper added without specifying the flight route.

“Kuwait airport police took the statements of both and decided to refer the case to the competent authorities,” it said.
