Five camels saved after falling in Saudi sewage pit
Saudi civil defence men used giant cranes to rescue five camels which fell into a massive sewage pit in the Gulf Kingdom.
A large civil defence team deployed at the uncovered pit in the northern town of Umluj plucked the animals one after another and returned them to its owner.
“They were all saved and returned to their owner in a good shape…they entered a farm by mistake and plunged into the pit,” civil defence spokesman Colonel Mamdouh Al Anzi said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Okaz.
