Harassment sparks bloody fight

A bloody fight erupted between two Saudi families using head covers, forks, and plates after a teen age boy from one family tried to harass a girl from the other family at a restaurant in the Gulf kingdom, press reports said on Saturday.

Several persons were injured in the scuffle in the western town of Madina before 13 police patrols arrived and intervened to end the fighting.

Some members of both families were injured and admitted to hospital following the quarrel that attracted a large crowd and resulted in heavy damage to the restaurant, ‘Okaz’ Arabic language daily said.

“Police arrested those involved in the fighting which was triggered by a teen age boy, who tried to harass a girl from another family,” it said.
