Human-like baby goat born in Saudi

A goat in Saudi Arabia gave birth to twins, including a dead one which has the physical appearance of humans and vets said this could be caused by accumulation of fluids in the body.

The Saudi farmer and relatives who witnessed the delivery of the twin goats in the central town of Taif said they were shocked when they saw the shape of the dead one.

“The dead one has a human form from outside while the other was normal and is alive,” the owner said, quoted by Taif newspaper.

The paper said it shot a film of the stillborn goat and showed it to Dr Ali Khalifa, a well known vet in the city.

“This creature assumed this shape after its death inside the mother’s womb before birth and this caused an accumulation of fluids inside its belly and muscles,” he said.

“Its body was filled with fluid and I think this had caused the change in its features…this case is called Odema.”
