Iraq’s Basra to fund marriage of 10,000 men

Iraq’s southern Basra governorate has allocated ID50 billion (Dh155 million) to fund the marriage of 10,000 men, a news agency reported on Wednesday.

Each man will receive ID5 million (Dh15,500) plus soft loans for housing, Ynews said, quoting Basra’s governor Majid Al Nasrawi.

“We have approved a project to help 10,000 young men from the governorate to marry…we have allocated ID50bn for this project,” he said.
