Kid killed in fake fight after watching cartoon

A nine-year-old Saudi boy was killed when another child pierced his head with an iron skewer during a game battle started by the two to imitate a fight in a TV cartoon show, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The two boys had just watched the cartoon film before walking over to a deserted construction site to look for presumed weapons.

“They found two old rusty skewers and began a battle…one of them struck the other with the skewer in his head, killing him at once,” Kabar Arabic language daily said in a report from the southern province of Jazan.
