Kuwaiti police get scooters to curb crime
Kuwait has supplied its police with three-wheel scooters that allow their riders to push through the narrow lanes of local markets to chase thieves, harassers and other suspects.
In a report from Kuwait City on Wednesday, the Arabic language daily 'Alanba' said such scooters had been distributed to police in some areas of the oil-rich Gulf emirate on a trial basis.
“If this new machine proves successful, then it will be available to all police departments in the country,” the paper said.
