Kuwaiti woman axed to death

An unknown attacker murdered a 36-year-old Kuwaiti woman by hitting her on the head with an axe before fleeing the area, a local daily said on Monday.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspect driving a US-made white car in Baneed Alkar area in Kuwait City just before the crime, Alanba said.

It quoted police sources as saying an argument had apparently preceded the murder of the unnamed woman.

“She might know the murderer and he could be her relative but it is too early to make any judgment now,” one source said, adding that police are checking the victim’s mobile phone for any clues.
