Lightning kills two camels in Saudi

Lightning caused by a wave of heavy rain lashing Saudi Arabia killed two camels while scores of other animals in the herd escaped, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The camels were gathered by their owner to be herded inside their barn at his farm in the western town of Khurma when lightning struck.

“The thunderbolt killed two of the best camels I own but all the others escaped,” farmer Abdullah Jassir said, quoted by Sabq newspaper.
