Maid sentenced to death for killing employer

A Saudi court sentenced an Asian housemaid to death for murdering her aging employer and robbing him before she was herself raped by nine Saudi young men, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The unnamed maid waited until all other members of the employing family left the house, brought a wood hammer and hit the 80-year-old man on the head many times, killing him instantly, Alriyadh said.

She then packed all jewellery and other expensive items and fled the house in the central town of Taif.

“The maid asked nine young men to give her a lift to Makkah… they helped her reach Makkah, where they took turns in raping her.”

The court also sentenced the nine men to between 12 and 18 months in prison each and ordered them lashed 100 times.
