Maid tries to snatch baby from hospital

An Indonesian housemaid sneaked into a hospital in Saudi Arabia, lifted a 24-day baby out of his cot and walked out before she was stopped by security men, Okaz newspaper said on Saturday.

Nurses in the obstetrics section at the hospital in the southern province of Bisha had seen the woman entering the ward and leaving with a baby in her arms, the paper said.

“They shouted to the hospital security men, who rushed and caught her just before she got out of the gate.”

The paper said police were investigating the maid about the motives for her act.
