Man caught at Cairo airport with 18 Saudi swords

Customs authorities at Cairo international airport detained an Egyptian passenger arriving from Saudi Arabia this week with 18 swords hidden in his luggage, a Saudi newspaper reported on Monday.

Customs men suspected the man as he was about to head out of the checking area and told him to open his bags, Sabq daily said.

“They found 18 swords, some of which are dagger-sized….they were bought from Saudi Arabia and were confiscated by Egyptian authorities.”
