A 28-year-old Turk died during a Saudi domestic flight on Tuesday, prompting the pilot to divert route and make an emergency landing.

The Saudia aircraft was en route from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah to the southern province of Jazan when the man suffered from a heart attack.

“Medics on board tried to save the man but he died. The pilot then made an emergency landing at Abha airport where an ambulance was waiting to take the body,” the Arabic language daily ‘Sabq’ said.
