Man finds giant egg in Saudi

A man on a picnic in the Saudi wilderness with his friends stumbled across a giant egg believed to be for an ostrich, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Fahd Al Anzi was on a trip in a valley in north Saudi Arabia when he saw the massive white object, thinking it was a round rock.

“I came close and was surprised to find that it is an egg…it is likely an ostrich’s egg,” he told ‘Sabq’ Arabic language daily, adding that he took the egg home.

“I call on wildlife authorities to go and explore that area…there could be more eggs there…I am also willing to give them this egg.”

Anzi said he noticed traces of biting by large teeth on the egg, indicating some predators were trying to eat it.
