Man rapes little girl, kills her at cemetery

A 35-year-old Egyptian man raped a little girl before murdering her at a cemetery in the Arab country.

In court, he said he would like to be executed thousand times.

Isam told court in Cairo that he had stalked Yassmina near their apartment many times because he was avid for sex, but could not marry for lack of money.

The man said he had dreamt of becoming an engineer but ended up working as a cleaner in the area where Yassmina lives.

“I tried many times to seduce her and take her to the nearby cemetery, but I could not because her father called her every time I came near her. One day, I saw her playing alone and there was no one in the area atnoon,” he told court.

“I called her and gave her sweets. I asked her to come with me to play and I took her to the cemetery, where I raped her.

“When she started to cry, I panicked and decided to strangle her to death. I then buried her there and left.”

Newspapers in Egypt did not specify the girl’s age but said the crime was uncovered after the cemetery’s guard found her body a few days later.

Police noticed she had marks on her neck and their investigation later led them to the killer, who quickly confessed to the crime, the report said.

“My only concern in life was to be an engineer and help my family but I ended up working as a cleaner.

“I was fed up with life and wanted to marry but could not afford it. I then started to think much about sex,” he said.

“That was why I thought of Yassmina. I beg you to execute me so my conscience is relieved. I was not conscious when I did this to her. Even you execute me thousands of time, Yassmina will never return to her family who I deprived of.”
