Man rapes woman for blackmail

Saudi police arrested a Yemeni who raped a Saudi woman and used his mobile phone to film the crime in a bid to blackmail her, a local daily said on Tuesday.

The man met the woman at a health centre, where he works, and offered to help her to get free medical check up after she told him she does not have enough money, Sharq Arabic language newspaper said.

Two days later he phoned her and said she would be checked by a medical expert who operates at his apartment in Riyadh, the paper said.

“When she went there, he locked the door and attacked her….he raped the woman and videotaped the rape on his mobile phone…after a few days, he began to blackmail her by threatening to send the film to her daughters unless she agrees to sleep with him again, “ it said.

“She agreed but a few days later he started to ask for money…she had no choice but to report him to the authorities.”

The paper said members of the feared Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice arrested the man, who confessed to his crime. They also found evidence in his mobile and his flat that he had blackmailed other women
