Mentally ill man kills brother

A Saudi man suffering from a mental illness stabbed his brother to death after the family tried to take him to psychiatrist, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Wednesday.

The man, in his 30s, rushed to the kitchen and got a big knife which he used to stab his brother at their house in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah, 'Kabar' Arabic language daily said.

Family told police the killer is not responsible for his acts as he is suffering from mental problems.

“His brother tried to lock him up so they can take him to the psychiatrist but he escaped and rushed to the kitchen for a knife…he stabbed his brother, who died on the way to hospital,” 'Kabar' said.
