Mum's sorry to school for absence of 'dead' son

A Saudi mother called a school in the Gulf Kingdom to apologise to them for their absence of her son, unaware that he was killed in a road crash a day before.

The boy died in the accident on the eve of his school examinations in the eastern Saudi town of Dammam but relatives told her he was held at the traffic police.

“She called the school in the morning to apologize that her son would not be able to come for the exams. She did not know that her son was dead,” Sada daily said, adding that the boy was in the secondary school.
