Palestinian marries widows of his two brothers

A 19-year-old Palestinian married the widows of his two elder brothers who were killed in Israeli attacks in July, according to Palestinian newspapers.

Although the women are nearly 10 years older than him, Ali Abed Rabbo accepted his father’s request to marry his brothers’ wives to keep the family together.

“My son is capable of shouldering responsibility and looking after his two wives,” his father Jamal said.

Ali said he accepted his father’s request to “keep the family together and look after his brothers’ children,” adding that the wedding was replaced by a “Quran recitation ceremony in memory of my two martyr brothers.”
