Pilgrim around Kaaba on roller skates

A Muslim pilgrim was seen on camera cruising around the Islamic holy site Al Kaaba in Saudi Arabia on roller skates, triggering mixed reactions from readers.

A YouTube film published in 'Sada' newspaper showed the man in a white pilgrimage gown skating around Kaaba in the town of Makkah, while other pilgrims walked around the sacred site to perform the circumambulation ritual.

Sada said some viewers welcomed such a technique as a replacement of wheel chairs while others roller skates should not be allowed in that place.
