Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police arrested a pilot and a stewardess at his home in the Gulf Kingdom for having an affair and being drunk.
Acting on a tip-off, members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice rushed to the area and waited near pilot’s house in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s second largest city.
“Minutes later, the pilot and the stewardess came out of the house…when they arrested them, they found they were drunk,” Sabq daily said.
It did not identify the couple but said Commission members found several liquor bottles at the apartment of the 50-year-old pilot.
