The pilot of a Saudi domestic flight decided to abort take-off and return from the runway to let a woman suffering from cancer to go back to the airport terminal and bring her medicine, a Saudi newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The Flynas aircraft was on the runway at the airport in the Northwestern town of Hail as it prepared to fly to the capital Riyadh when the Saudi woman told the cabin crew that she had forgotten her medicine at the terminal and that she had to take it every two hours.

"The cabin crew told the pilot, who sympathized with the woman and decided to postpone take off and return to tarmac after taking permission from flight control…the woman then went back into the terminal and brought her medicine," Sabq daily said.
