Policeman rapes female inmate in prison

A Kuwaiti policeman dragged an Ethiopian woman from among other inmates at a prison in the Gulf emirate and raped her in front of them, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

The police man entered Nozha prison in Kuwait City and forced the Ethiopian woman out of the packed cell, where she has been detained along with others for absconding from their employers, Alanba Arabic language daily said.

“All other inmates testified to the police chief what the policeman did to the Ethiopian inmate,” the paper said.

“After interrogation, the police man confessed to his crime. He was arrested and would stand trial.”
