Rare falcon-size bird caught in Saudi Arabia

Saudi hunters have caught a rare bird that has the size of a falcon and a similar beak but with some different features, 'Sharq' newspaper reported on Sunday.

The hunters caught the bird during a hunting trip in northern Alhamad area and it was the first time that they saw such a bird, it said.

“It is a rare and strange bird…it has almost the same size of a falcon but it has different features,” the paper said.

It gave no further details of the bird but said Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries attract a large number of migratory birds during this period of time.
