Salesman gives girl free clothes… for a date

Saudi Arabia’s Islamic police arrested a Yemeni expatriate who tried to force a 15-year-old girl to meet him for a date after giving her new clothes, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The unnamed Yemeni, who works in a garments shops, refused to let the girl pay when she bought clothes from his shop in the western town of Taif, the online Arabic language daily 'Altaif' said.

“He told her she can come any time and get free clothes and asked her to give him her mobile phone number and her photograph…he then started to threaten her to publicise her picture unless she meets him for a date,” the paper said.

It said the girl was about to yield to his demand before she changed her mind and complained to members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Vice.

“The Commission’s men laid a trap for the man and arrested him…they found the girl’s photo in his mobile.
