Saudi child with Down's found dead at beach

A five-year-old Saudi girl suffering from Down syndrome was found dead at a beach in the Gulf Kingdom a day after she went missing, a newspaper said on Wednesday.

Jouri Al Khaldi went out of her house in the evening to play near the beach but never turned up, prompting her family to report her absence to the police in the eastern Saudi town of Jubail, Sabq Arabic language daily said.

“She was found dead at the beach. She had apparently drowned and her body was pushed out by the waves,” it said, quoting police spokesman Colonel Ziad Al Rugaiti.
