Saudi flights delayed after online bomb threat
Saudi airport authorities delayed two domestic flights after receiving online threats to blow up the aircraft, newspapers reported on Wednesday.
Two flights by the state-owned Saudia Airlines scheduled to take off from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah to the nearby town of Medina on Tuesday morning were delayed for several hours after the Jeddah airport received the message.
“Airport authorities dealt seriously with the message which was placed on the airport’s website….the two flights were later given permission to take off after authorities determined the message was a hoax,” Sabq daily said.
