Saudi gets heart attack after loss to Japan
A Saudi football fan was rushed to hospital after having a heart attack because of the loss of his country to Japan in the Asian cup, a newspaper said Wednesday.
The 40-year-old man told Almadina newspaper from hospital in Riyadh that the 5-0 loss had cost Saudi Arabia its “sport prestige and respect.”
“I was very upset when my country lost to Syria and then to Jordan…the loss to Japan made me very angry and sad…a few hours later, I was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack,” the paper quoted Mohammed Okla as saying.
