Saudi police arrest 14 people for dancing

Saudi Arabia’s feared Islamic police arrested 14 boys and girls involved in a noisy dancing party at an apartment in the Gulf kingdom.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice raided the flat in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah after phone calls from residents about a mixed-gender concert.

“They were caught dancing and all of them were taken to the police station pending trial,” a police source said.
