Saudi school fines offending girl students
A Saudi girls’ school decided to impose fines on students violating its rules, including not wearing Islamic school uniform, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The school’s head mistress said offenders would be fined SR150 (Dh150) and those who repeat the offence would be warned and fined again.
'Sada' daily quoted the school head as saying parents supported her decision to ensure compliance by their daughters with the school’s regulations.
A copy of the decision published in the paper showed offences include taking off the uniform while leaving class and not wearing abaya and head cover in the school bus.
