A Saudi woman with experience in arranging weddings is planning to set up the kingdom’s first centre to train brides on how to walk, smile and kiss their mother-in-law during the wedding party, a newspaper said on Wednesday.

Rabab Al Saeedi, who has organized more than 5,000 wedding parties during her seven-year-old career, said she was encouraged by the success of most parties she had arranged and the “gradual collapse of social barriers.”

“I am now planning to set up a wedding etiquette centre to train brides on how to behave during their wedding party,” she told Alwatan newspaper.

“This will bring brides many benefits…I intend to teach them how to walk during the party, how to hold their husband’s hand, how to distribute looks to the guest, how and when to smile and above all, what to do when her mother in law comes to the party….she has to stand up, smile then kiss her head and hand to show all the guests that she loves and respects her mother in law.”
