Saudi customs men at a border point near Kuwait seized nearly 1.89 million captagon pills concealed inside apple boxes and headed for the Gulf Kingdom.

The drug-like pills were wrapped in plastic bags concealed under apples in wooden boxes in a truck that was on its way to Saudi Arabia.

Sabq newspaper said the customs men searched the apple boxes after suspecting the way they were piled up inside the truck. It did not identify the truck driver or say whether the vehicle had come from nearby Kuwait.
