A 14-year-old Palestinian school boy tried to commit suicide after he scored low marks in examination in his school in the West Bank, the press reported on Friday.

The student, identified as Mohammed, wrapped a rope around his neck on the stairs leading to the rooftop of his house in Hebron town but was saved by his family in the last minute, the papers said.

Doctors said Mohammed was brought to hospital in a serious condition but he was saved and his condition has now stabilized.
