Stranded sheep on mountain rescued

Scores of sheep enjoying the grass on a rugged mountainous area in Saudi Arabia continued their climb, unaware that they have reached a point where they would not be able to climb down.

The sheep were stranded on top of the mountain outside the western town of Madinah for four days. With plenty of grass on the top, they were clearly not worried about their dilemma but their owner was.

“He phoned the civil defence, who sent a team to rescue the stranded sheep,” 'Okaz' newspaper reported on Tuesday.

“All of them were rescued and handed over to their owner,” the paper added without making clear how they were brought down.
