Thief nabbed after robbing 17 shops
Saudi police seized a man who broke into 17 shops in a major mall in the Gulf Kingdom, taking advantage of its brief closure for noon prayers, a Saudi newspaper reported on Friday.
Security guards returning from the prayers informed the police that the doors and windows of17 shops had been smashed and that the thief could be still inside the mall in the capital Riyadh, Okaz Arabic language daily said.
“The suspect was later found by police hiding at the crime scene after they searched the place….he tried to flee but policemen guarding the entrance spotted him and a patrol at the gate arrested him,” it said, adding several stolen mobile phone were found in his possession.
