Two UAE servicemen martyred in Yemen
The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces has announced that servicemen Zayed Ali Al Kaabi and Mohammed Obaid Al Hamoudi were martyred while participating in Operation Restoring Hope, conducted in Yemen by the Saudi-led Coalition.
The General Command extended sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless their souls with mercy in Paradise.
Martyr Zayed Ali Al Kaabi, 38, from Fujairah was married and has four sons. The eldest boy is 11 years of age and the youngest is three.
Martyr Mohammed Obaid Al Hamoudi, 25, from Dibba, Sharjah, was the fourth among his seven siblings.
Martyr Al Kaabi had gone to Yemen along with one of his brothers and was in touch with his mother. He also maintained excellent relations with his family and friends and he believed it was his duty to help others, according to a report in ‘Al Bayan’.
Martyr Al Hamoudi was ambitious and always strived to achieve the best. He graduated with flying colours from the Air Force Academy five years ago and it was his dream to become a fighter pilot since his childhood, the report added.
