Unknown painter amazes public in Saudi

Scores of people flocked to a deserted place in the Gulf Kingdom to see the latest paintings on a wall by an unknown painter, who appears to have already amazed the public with artistic work away from public art halls.

The painter seems to want to remain unknown as s/he/ never signed the paintings and chose only desolate place to perform the work.

A YouTube film published by Sabq newspaper showed the latest work in a deserted farm outside the western Saudi town of Taif included King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, late Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and several other paintings depicting the fictional cartoon sailor Popeye, Tom the cat and other cartoons.

“Many people went to the place outside Taif to see the latest work of this unknown painter, known as the ‘Taif painter’,” the paper said.
