Wife divorces hubby for being 'spoilt' by his mum

A Saudi wife was divorced from her husband at her request on the grounds he is spoilt by his mother just a few days after their marriage.

The 21-year-old woman filed a court suit for a divorce and insisted on the split despite efforts by the judge to dissuade her.

“The woman told the judge that she would not return to her husband in any case because he is spoilt by his mother and has no character in front of his family,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Sada said.

“The judge had no choice but to issue a divorce and ordered the woman to return the dowry and all money and presents to her husband,” the paper added without mentioning where in Saudi Arabia the incident took place.
