Woman dumps husband's wealth in bin
A Pakistani woman in Saudi Arabia accidentally dumped her husband’s life savings into the area’s main garbage bin but most of the money was returned later, a newspaper said on Tuesday.
Waste collectors who found the more than SR100,000 ($27,000) inside a half-empty bread plastic bag happily decided to share the windfall and one was soelated that he took his share and left the Gulf kingdom, 'Okaz' Arabic language daily said.
“The Pakistani man had no choice but to tell the police about his big loss,” the paper said in a report from the western town of Madina.
“After several days of investigation, police tracked down the waste collectors and returned around SR84,000 to the Pakistani man…the rest of the money was with another worker who left the country.”
