Woman gives birth to quadruplets in Saudi
An Egyptian woman gave birth to quadruplets in her seventh month pregnancy in a Cesarean operation in Saudi Arabia and doctors decided to put them in the intensive care unit, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Monday.
The operation at a government hospital in the Northwestern town of Tabuk lasted around 45 minutes and the babies weighed 1.2 kg each at birth, ‘Sabq’ said.
It quoted public relations director at the hospital Fahd Al Tuwaijri as saying the woman, who is married to a Saudi, went into labour in her seventh month and that it is one of the rarest cases with an average one to 500,000.
The paper did not specify the sex of the four babies.
