Worms crawled under the door out of a flat in Saudi Arabia as if to tell residents of a murder. The discovery of a dead body later proved they were correct.
Neighbours phoned the police after they saw the army of worms pushing their way out to confirm their suspicions that the foul smell pervading their nostrils could be of a dead body inside the apartment in the central town of Makkah.
“Police smashed the door and found the 46-year-old Saudi man dead…examination showed he was stabbed three times,” the online Arabic language daily Kabar said in a report from the sacred city on Tuesday.
It quoted police spokesman Major Abdul Mohsen Miman as saying the man could have been killed by thieves as his wardrobes were broken.
Kabar did not identify the victim but said he is divorced and his ex-wife lives with her children in nearby Madina.
