Would-be Romeo sets up a date with thieves

A Saudi tidied himself up, got into his car and rushed happily for a presumed date with a girl who he had never met. But it later turned out to be a date with thieves.

The unnamed man drove to his date after receiving a phone call from a presumed girl. But in fact, it was a teen age boy who used his skills in imitating female voices to push the man into the bait in a deserted area in the northern town of Tabuk.

“When he was there, a gang of boys jumped on him, beat him up, and robbed him before fleeing,” Okaz daily reported on Tuesday.

“But they all were later caught by the police, who placed them in a correction centre.”
