Yemen has achieved a breakthrough in the ongoing Kuwait talks, agreeing on the formation of the transitional government, but still disagreeing over the date of the establishment of this government, ‘Al Bayan’ newspaper reports.
Sources told Al Bayan that a single step still separates the Yemenis agreeing on a comprehensive solution leading to UN Security Council resolution 2216.
The step which is still hindering the Yemenis, is the agreement on the date of the formation of the Transitional Government.
The legitimate government representatives have suggested that the military committee finish its task of overseeing the militia withdrawal from cities and collecting weapons.
On the ground, the rebels have widened the extent of breaches of the truce terms and launched attacks to penetrate Lahaj governorate, while legitimate forces repulsed the attacks of the rebels in Ta’aiz.
