A 16-year-old Saudi woman committed a suicide by shooting herself in the head nearly six weeks after her marriage, a newspaper reported on Thursday.
Ajel said the woman was found lying in a pool of blood after she shot herself in the lower jaw just after she had an argument with her family.
The paper quoted police in the southern Saudi Al Baha town as saying the woman had been treated for mental problems before her marriage.
“After her condition improved, she got married…but she apparently had problems with the new family,” it said, quoting a police source.
