Sharjah Police have arrested two men accused of killing a Pakistani taxi driver following a financial rift before fleeing to nearby Ajman.
Police found the body in his car boot after the victim’s brother phoned them when he noticed there was blood on the rear of the vehicle that was dumped in an isolated place in the industrial zone 7 in the emirate.
Investigating showed two men who were in the area and fled to Ajman on the day of the murder could be the killers.
Police from the two emirates stormed their flat in Ajman and arrested them, according to local newspapers, which said they confessed to the crime during questioning.
A police spokesman said the two stabbed the victim many times before dumping his body in the boot and driving the car to a remote area, where they removed the plates and the metres and threw them in garbage to detract attention.
