Sharjah Police strike with 'iron fist' after gang fight kills 1

The Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police have arrested all involved in a violent melee, which took place on May 11.

The group included Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Indians.

The fight saw the use of arms, resulting in the death of one person and the wounding of four others.

Colonel Ibrahim Misbah, CID Head, Sharjah Police, said that the operations room received a call at 8.30pm on Monday, of an altercation between a number of people.

Sticks and pieces of sharp iron were being used, the tip-off said.

Immediately, police patrols and a CID team along with ambulances rushed to the site.

During the transfer of one of the injured to Al Qasimi Hospital he died, suffering a deep stab wound.

Colonel Ibrahim Misbah said that Sharjah Police  will not tolerate any persons committing such acts.
“The police will strike with an iron fist,” he said.
