A couple and their neighbour were arrested for allegedly killing a new born infant at Puttala , reports Virakesari.
It is believed that the woman became pregnant while her family had plans to send her to work overseas. She, unable to make her dreams come true waited till she had the baby. The baby was born but soon she and her husband wrapped the infant and dropped in the toilet pit.
The incident came to light when she had to be taken to hospital after post-pregnancy related complications.
It is reported that the infant was allegedly killed with help of her husband, mother and a neighbour.
The police had been informed and upon questioning she had confessed that the child was killed.
Police have recovered the infant's remains and investigations are proceeding.
