A 52-year-old woman died in Sri Lanka died of heroin poisoning soon after her daughter was arrested by police for possessing heroin, the ‘Mawbima’ reported.

Police said they had caught the young woman with 340 milligrammes of heroin.

Her mother, who was at home at that time, had a heart attack and was admitted to hospital by police officers.

Hospital authorities, who held a postmortem, found ten packets of heroin hidden inside the deceased woman.

Doctors think she suffered a heart attack because of heroin dissolving in her mouth.

Some parts of her body has been sent to a government analyst for further investigation.
